HI LOVELIES , I’M RAFIA
A mum, home cook and recipe developer with a passion for feeding children
Story behind this food blog
Hi lovelies! I’m Rafia a mum, home cook, and recipe developer with a passion for feeding children. It all started with my love for cooking and baking, then feeding my little explores. As a mum, I know the struggle of getting kids to eat well without the mealtime chaos. That’s why I created Home Cook Mum, a space where I share simple, wholesome, and deliciously nutritious meals that provide recipes and the cooking confidence parents need to make food that help their children eat better, enjoy food, and develop lifelong healthy habits.
Like every other mum, I faced challenges with my little explorers. One of them was with my son, who is my first. He was a food explorer, always ready to eat anything I served him; however, I did not have enough experience and resources to boost his adventure. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I started doing research, with my resilience I was able to overcome the challenges.
As a passionate food enthusiast, my ultimate goal is to help families raise happy, healthy eaters — one bite at a time. Through The HomeCook Mum, I aim to inspire confidence in parents to make wholesome, nourishing meals that don’t just fill little tummies but also spark curiosity, joy, and a lifelong love for good food.
I believe that every mealtime is an opportunity to connect, learn, and build positive habits that last well beyond childhood. Whether it’s introducing new flavors, finding creative ways to make vegetables fun, or turning everyday dishes into nutritious family favorites, I’m here to guide and encourage you on this journey. Together, we can make healthy eating simple, enjoyable, and full of love — one delicious bite at a time.
